So some of my friends have caught wind of the fact that I’m trying to share my pies with you.* I don’t know if you know this yet, but I have some pretty stellar friends. And they believe not only in the potential of this blog, but they believe in me, and in you, and… in the fact that we’d have a pretty fun time eating pie together sometime.** 

They believe in this cause so much that they want me to emphasize that, should you respond to my invitation, they too would share pies with you. 

Anna recently made this pumpkin pie, featuring the symbols of her home state in carefully crafted pie-dough shapes. A girl who loves geography and animals and football and crafts? Yes, more than one of us exist. 

Fly up stairs, chase air
Arrive at door, lock and key
Scent warm, wafting: pie 

These were our Thanksgiving pies: pumpkin pecan, apple blackberry, and my pride and joy: cranberry orange with a cornmeal crumble. I didn’t share them with you, or even the leftovers with you, but I would have.
